Malta offers the only legal direct citizenship program for investors in the EU (Granting of Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment, CES).

• Non-refundable contribution to the National Development Fund: from €600,000 (minimum stay of 36 months) or from €750,000 (minimum stay of 12 months).
• Charitable contribution: €10,000.
• Renting a property (min. €16,000/year for 5 years) or purchasing a property (min. €700,000).
• Additional contribution for inclusion of spouse/children/parents.

3. Result: full citizenship of the Republic of Malta and the European Union. EU passport.

4. Timeframe: pre-approval ~90 days. Citizenship: 12-36 months depending on the chosen investment option and residency period.

5. Family inclusion: spouse, financially dependent children under 29, parents of the applicant and spouse (over 55, financially dependent).

6. Global mobility: visa-free or simplified entry to 190+ countries, including the USA, Canada, UK, Schengen area.

7. EU benefits: the right to live, work, study, do business in any country of the European Union. Access to the European banking system, healthcare, education.

8. Tax regime: Malta offers attractive conditions for tax residents (does not tax income outside Malta under certain conditions). A specialist consultation is required.

9. Duration of the program: applications are accepted limited and are valid until December 31, 2026. A quota of 1,500 successful applicants has been approved.
